This now-abandoned structure often goes unnoticed, despite having once been home to the estate's esteemed head gardeners, Richard Gill and William Johnson, in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Their expertise in cultivating vibrant flowers played a significant role in establishing the estate's reputation, but now their home is no longer vibrant, it is dark and broken, and taken over by the one thing they once controlled.
